Ticket Resolution Project
Documented an account-access support case from email intake through login-path troubleshooting, customer communication, and closure.
Problem & approach
Situation
In the simulated case, a customer could not access their account despite receiving a password-reset email.
Goal
Identify the access issue, guide the customer to the correct login method, and preserve a clear support history.
Solution
Investigated the login path, clarified SSO versus direct login, and recorded the resolution and successful-access confirmation in the ticket.
How the case was resolved
A structured troubleshooting path links the original issue to the documented resolution.
- Email intakeCapture issue + customer
- TriageAssign owner + priority
- InvestigateCheck reset delivery + login method
- SSO guidanceProvide the correct portal
- Confirm & closeRecord access + root cause

Key design decisions
Intake layer
Capture the issue, source, customer association, owner, and priority in one ticket so the next person can understand the case without reconstructing it.
Investigation layer
Separate password-reset delivery from login-method selection. Ask whether the customer used the organization’s SSO portal or a direct login page before choosing the next step.
Resolution layer
Keep internal findings and customer-facing communication in the activity timeline. Close with a root-cause explanation, successful-access confirmation, and next-action status.
What the case demonstrates
- A complete intake-to-closure record within one support ticket.
- Troubleshooting that distinguishes password-reset issues from an incorrect login path.
- Focused customer communication to obtain missing diagnostic information.
- A documented SSO resolution and access confirmation in the simulated scenario.
- A closure summary that supports future review and handoff.
